Salvation is a gift of God brought to us by grace through faith alone (as the sole condition that's needed to be born again) in Christ alone. In fact, since universal sin through death entered the human race through one man, no one can enter the kingdom of God (or have eternal life) unless they are born again. No degree of reformation however great, no attainment of morality however high, no culture however attractive, no baptism or any other type of ordinances or religious rituals or practices however administered, can help mankind born sinful to take even one step to heaven; but a new position has to be imparted from above at the very moment of faith in Jesus Christ and His promise to give everlasting life to all who solely believe in Him (Gen 15:6; Lev 17:11; Isa 64:6; John 3:1-16; 4:10-13; 5:24; 6:47; 11:25-27; Rom 4:3-5; Gal 3:13; 6:15; Eph 2:8-9; Phil 3:4-9; Titus 3:5; Jas 1:18; 1 Pet 1:18-19, 23; Rev 22:17). Thus only those who believe Christ's promise alone are eternally saved and become sons of God (John 1:12-13; Ephesians 2:8; Acts 15:11; Romans 3:24, 25; John 3:16; Matthew 18:11; Philippians 2:7, 8; Hebrews 2:14–17; Isaiah 53:4–7; 1 John 4:10; 1 Corinthians 15:3; 2 Corinthians 5:21; 1 Peter 2:24).
