August 2nd - Indoor services at 10am
Things continue to change quickly this year! As you may know, there were a couple big decisions up for vote during this past Sunday’s business meeting. One will have a big impact on what Sunday morning services will look like moving forward and so we thought it best to lay out the results of the church’s decision and what it will mean for us.
The issue up for vote was to decide if we should return to having Sunday morning service in the auditorium. Having church on the grounds was a temporary measure that we would only be able to continue through the summer. Eventually we would need to return to service either entirely online or in the auditorium. Church on the grounds to this point had been a fruitful endeavor. We have been blessed with (for the most part) great weather, we have been able to fellowship with one another, welcome several new families from the community who were grateful we were holding services outside, and do all this while still offering our services online. A huge “thank you” to our volunteers who put in a lot of work and did an amazing job preparing for service each Sunday. Church on the grounds would eventually have to end and a transition into services either online or in-person would need to resume. It was expressed that resuming church indoors was an important step toward a complete reopening of Sunday morning service and a step toward gradually re implementing Sunday School, then eventually nursery and children’s church. After discussion and careful consideration it was decided by vote that services would resume inside beginning on August 2.
As we have navigated the changing landscape that our government’s response to the virus has created we have been led by the wisdom and conviction that (1) we should do our best to create a safe worship environment for the church and (2) we should give our people the freedom to decide for themselves the level of precautions they will take.
What does this mean for us moving forward?
Sunday service will resume in its normal capacity this week, August 2 at 10:00am. The auditorium will be set up with normal seating (no spaces between chairs) and the use of masks will be up to personal discretion. We will continue to livestream our service and we will also have the fellowship hall set up as a more precautious alternative to the auditorium. There will be spaced out seating to accommodate 15-20 people and the service will be watched live on the TV. This means that children’s church will not immediately resume, as the fellowship hall will be in use during the service. Nursery, too, will not be offered initially as we transition back to service inside. We are planning to resume Sunday school in the latter weeks of August, though not all classes may resume that soon.
We are so very grateful for the support we have received from you, our church family, this year. Thank you for being faithfully generous and willing to serve one another. We love you all and count it a blessing to be able to serve you each and every week. Continue in prayer for us.
Until He Comes,

A few notes that are important to communicate to all of our church - Get the word out!
Worship services are at 10 am once again!!
No Nursery - We know the little's like to have room to squirm. We want to get back to having a nursery soon and we know this is an important ministry for our church, but we must do it in a safe and responsible way! Please continue to have patience & grace as we work towards this!
No Sunday school, or Children's Church!
Distanced worship room-
The fellowship hall will be open for church service on the tv screen for those who desire a more strictly social distance and have a smaller number of people to worship with. Masks are encouraged in this area. We ask that anyone who is not planning to stay and sit in this worship area refrain from entering or crossing through this room to limit contact for the folks who prefer to do church while distanced! Please honor this request and those who chose to worship in the fellowship hall!
The office door will be open as a no contact entrance into the fellowship hall!
